Leopard Lessons
A coloured pencil workshop with a difference
From Second-Guessing to Sure Strokes
Does this sound all too familiar?
You spot a stunning photo of a snow leopard and think, "if only I could draw like that" — but then, almost instantly, you talk yourself out of it. Those intricate patterns, the thick, luxurious fur, those delicate whiskers(!)… it feels overwhelming.
Or maybe you’re feeling stuck with your current drawings. You know your technique is okay, but there’s a nagging feeling that something’s missing. You’re working harder, trying to be smarter. Layering pencil after pencil, second-guessing every mark, battling the paper texture instead of flowing with it.
You’re craving techniques to come more naturally. You're ready for personalised guidance to help you unlock more of your style.
What if drawing cats could feel easier — maybe almost effortless?
Stop Fighting Your Drawing and Start Flowing
This workshop will transform how you approach every cat drawing:
From overthinking every stroke → drawing with natural confidence
From stiff, overworked fur → soft, flowing textures that feel alive
From layering endlessly → achieving softness with fewer, more purposeful layers
One focused snow leopard drawing experience that teaches you to work with your natural drawing style, not against it.

My Approach to Teaching Art
Hello! I’m Amii. A busy mum and coloured pencil artist.
As both an award-winning coloured pencil artist and experienced educator, I understand that meaningful artistic growth happens when:
You're encouraged to develop your own artistic style rather than simply copying
Techniques are explained in multiple ways to accommodate different learning styles
You have space to experiment without fear of "doing it wrong"
Support continues beyond the formal lessons as you integrate new skills
You learn to slow down and enjoy the process rather than rushing to finish

This drawing focuses on subtle colour shifts and glazes — using fewer layers and fewer pencils. You’ll need just a few warm greys, a few cool greys, and a handful of other colours. I’ll provide detailed, easy-to-follow material recommendations upon registration, and this approach works beautifully on most surfaces.

Our private discussion space opens one week before the first session, giving you time to connect and ask any initial questions. After the workshops, you’ll enjoy four further weeks of continued access to share progress, get answers, and receive expert guidance. Weekly drop-in Q&A sessions are also included for ongoing support.
